Exclusive New Eyewitness emerges Police Shooting Granite Falls
When the CEE-VI Drug Task Force was staging to take action to apprehend Dylan McKaide Anderson-Butler, 23, they did so very close to a residence Dylan and his girlfriend were staying at. They laid in wait just around the block. Nearby a contractor worked on a neighboring home and noted the strange vehicles parked and coming and going outside a home two doors down. A home which he had watched the owners leave from for work a couple hours earlier. So he continued to watch, keeping tabs in case any mischief were taking place. After news of the shooting broke, he realized what he had witnessed and took steps to document it. He would later contact me via email. I will let those emails tell the story of what he witnessed in his own words. I view this man and his vigilance as a true hero, and champion of truth in his bravery, due diligence, and meticulous attention to detail. The truth can move mountains, but sometimes, and even more powerfully, it can clear the fog. The following are the observations of Jerry Johnson and are told in his words.
"The article you wrote about the task force murder coverup was spot on and I hope Justice can be served for all of the officers involved. I was working on the outside of a house right down the street from where they thought Dylan was staying. First I noticed a white Dodge Durango parked on the side street next to the house I was working on and thought it was strange since the home owners where gone the after the Durango left a little while later a black jeep grand Cherokee parked and did the same thing just sat there. Right before the shooting happened I saw a Chevy suburban and a Chrysler 300 drive by on the same side street and they stopped at the stop sign by the park and talked for about a minute and then both turned right and headed north on county road 5. As soon as they got out of sight the same white Durango and black Jeep Cherokee went flying past and blew the stop sign and gunned it after the other two vehicles. It was almost like they were sitting right around the corner waiting to chase after them. What I don’t understand is why we’re they waiting for Dylan and his girlfrend to get leave the house why didn’t they get a search warrant and go straight to the house and arrest him. They never even went and searched the house after all that. Plus I know the police have drones up in the air all the times you would think that they would of had one keeping a close eye on this situation just in case something went wrong. Plus when I went to the hardware store I saw chief deputy Travis Peterson pulling a small trailer with a generator and spot lights on it heading towards the cemetery. Wasn’t he caught planting drugs on a crime scene in Chippewa county and then resigned from the task force and got promoted to chief deputy in YMC? Seems a little strange to me that they needed him to bring the lights and generator out there at 4:30 in the afternoon."
A reply to my follow up email is below.
"The two task force agents were driving a White Dodge Durango and a Black Jeep Cherokee plus Travis Peterson was driving a white unmarked Ford Expedition. I’m pretty sure the sheriff’s department and GF PD have drones they deploy in stationary mode which provides them with continuous overwatch of the entire county. Otherwise there are cameras out at the compost site which they drove right past. The Chrysler 300 pulled in there and turned around and drove back to town. They’re also lying about what time it all happened they say around 3:36 pm but it actually happened around 11:30am and the compost site camera will prove that. The reason I noticed is because right after it all happened we had to run to the hardware store and my receipt says it was 12:43 pm."
These revelations blow the top off the whole official chain of events. I have yet to attempt to obtain or see if footage from the compost site exists, or verify the drone usage of Granite Falls Police Department or Yellow Medicine County. I am unaware if any other entity has investigated these sources of video either.
So a quick recap of circumstances that are circumspect in the officialy released story:
There were no body cams on scene according to the official press releases. Body cams are always worn by CEE-VI Agents with the exception of when they are involved in undercover drug buys. There is also no body cam footage from Undersheriff Travis Peterson, who was on scene and whom previously had resigned from the CEE-VI Task Force for planting evidence in Chippewa County. next, there is the fact that the Task Force had been staking out the known current whereabouts of Dylan McKaide Anderson-Butler and did not enforce the warrant at the residence they knew he was inside. Later, Chief Deputy Travis Peterson was seen driving a trailer containing a generator and spotlights to the shooting scene when he was fully aware a full BCA Force Investigations Unit would be running the investigation as they do in all officer involved shootings. (Ref. MN POST Board re: Travis Peterson, ref MN DPS multi-jurisdictional task force rules re: body camera usage, ref: Yellow Medicine County Sheriffs Department re: body camera and Chief Deputy Travis Peterson, re:MN BCA, Force Investigations Unit, policies regarding officer involved shootings.)
At this juncture I would like the reader to step back and compare the facts unearthed in this investigation both by myself and a very intelligent, meticulous and brave observer and the official version of what happened. I want you to form your own opinion and publicly voice it in the comments. I also urge anyone with more information whether it is video footage you know exists, drone policies you know of, anything relating to this investigation to email it to me, mnmuckraker@protonmail.com The future of a young man who has suffered a grievous wound, regardless of his past, already may be at stake, and the future accountability and continued existence of the CEE-VI Task Force, already the subject of multiple uncovered stories of corruption and abuse, who so far have bore no consequences for any of those incidents also lay. You are the overlords here, the public, make your voices heard both here and to your local officials, legislators, state officials no matter what conclusion you make.
